We are coming upon the time that we need to start picking high schools. Below is some information about our Magnet School Programs. Please rememeber, that even if you don't want to apply for a magnet school, it is good experience to tour these high schools.

For all students who currently attend NISD MS, no supporting documentation required

Students who currently attend NISD MS but previously attended an out-of-district/private school for 6th/7th grades should provide supporting documentation listed in application, (such as STAAR scores, attendance report, report cards, etc.) for those grade levels only (***Documentation must be uploaded to the magnet school application prior to submission)

The Application Process as told by a student:
Follow these steps and you will successfully get into where the application is.
1. Go to this link.
2. Scroll down to where you see "application process."
3. Click that button. This should take you to a new website called "powerschool."
4. Now click "create account."
5. Fill out this form with your school email address and password. Choose two security questions that will be easy to remember in the event that you forget your password.
6. After filling that out, you will be taken to the next page. Here you will fill out more information about yourself so the school can get to know what school you're from, your name, your student ID number, etc.
7. After filling that out, you will start your application process. You need to go in and choose your school you are applying for, but you can also choose runner ups if you choose to. Then you will pick what you want to study at that school.
8. As you scroll down, you will find a part where you need to initial. Make sure to read that over so you know what you are initialing for.
9. You will next need to click where it says "signature." This is for your parent(s). They need to read this over and print their name, the date, and say if they accept it or not.
10. Click "summary" on the side and if you are ready to send, click submit.
